Personal
Background:
Born
and raised in Brooklyn, New York. Marriage made a change in
locale and career when they moved to Bainbridge, New York.
Three children and twenty-nine years later she and her husband
were free to travel when they wished. England, France,
Canada, and several trips to California are some of their
dreams they accomplished. They had spent winters in the
Caribbean, exploring new islands each year. A sketch
pad, a camera and water colors go everywhere. Most of
her finished work was done back at home, however.
Subject
Matter:
Her
love of space, shape and color arrangements makes the subject
matter secondary. She found pleasure in still life
arrangements, nature patterns and sometimes pure design.
Medium changes too - from acrylics to oils to water
colors to pen and ink. Versatility is the key word of
her work and her personal feelings are in each canvas.
